The Three Bun Bell Box

This was a fun attempt at my first lidded box or bowl. I call it The Three Bun Bell Box because it has three small turned bun feet and it reminds me of a bell that at one time would have resided on a hotel desk.

It is made of Ash and is about 4 1/2″ diameter at it’s base and sits about 3 1/2″ tall to the top of the knob. It is finished with EEE Cream and Shellawax.

This one shows the lid off and you can see the tenon for the lid. I would have liked this to have been a bit larger to make the lid seal tighter:
