Maple Bowl With Large Burned Band

Here’s another bowl carrying a similar theme as the last one. This bowl is also made of Maple and it is 5 3/4″ in diameter and 3 1/2″ tall. The band is 1 1/4 wide and featured with a couple of wire burned rings and two different size ‘dots’.

The Maple that I used for this one is the Old Man Maple that used to grow in the in-laws backyard. It also features a bit of spalting. A beautiful example of the Peyoke tradition.

It was finished with U-Beaut product combination and the band received a light coat of wipe-on poly.
