More Turned And Burned Tea Lights

Posted in My Projects, Woodturning on Jul 06, 2010

Here’s a few more small turned and burned tea lights that I recently did. Like the previous ones they are approximately 2 1/2″ in diameter and 2″ tall and each of them have their own style and design.

In keeping with the style of the Peyoke series they all feature some pyrography and they are finished with EEE Cream and Shellawax. The stained areas have a coat or two of wipe-on poly on them.

Though I started out doing these only to be able to view my ideas on actual pieces they ended up being a whole lot of fun. Seems that once you get started it’s hard to stop. I ended up doing a dozen of them. :)

Here’s some closeups of these ones:

Thanks! I use a variety of burning tools but for these I just used a Dremel tool. Using a variety of tips and a combination of speed and pressure will give a wide range of designs.
