Here’s a Birch bowl that features a band of texturing around its middle. It is 10″ in diameter and 4″ high and finished with my mineral oil and beeswax mixture.

The texturing really adds to the color and wild grain of this particular piece of the Birch. It has quickly become a favorite and is now in regular use as our prime salad bowl.
