Well, it seems that that the Olympics are sweeping the nation and I thought I’d share some videos of a group of construction workers that are doing some extraordinary things with their tools. I like to think of them as participants in the 2010 Tool Olympics!

These guys have taken their skills with nailguns, saw blades and nails to the extreme! You’ll see the Nailgun King, the Saw Blade Ninja, the Tape Measure Master, the Nail Thrower and the Nailgun Artist.

Absolutely Amazing Expanding Table

Here’s a video of one amazing table! Have company coming over for dinner? Do not despair! With a flick of the wrist, a push and a pull this table expands to fill the room, and fill your guests with wonder! The geometric design is fascinating to watch too! It reminds me of a kaleidoscope!

Called a Fletcher Capstan Table and created by David Fletcher it is based on a nineteenth century design by Robert Jupe. More information and videos are available here.

From time to time I come across some cool woodworking related videos. Some of them are instructional, some are humorous, some are just cool. I’m going to start posting them here on Woodworker’s Guide in a new category called ‘Cool Videos’.

Here is the first one. It’s a cute little animated story of a piece of scrap wood hoping someday to be something more. It’s called Seggy’s Dream:
