After almost two decades of building long bows and teaching the craft for nearly the same, Master Bowyer Tom Turgeon from Boise Bows and Arrows is now offering long bow building workshops. The Long Bow Building Workshop will take you on a journey from recognizing and selecting bow woods, through the curing and tillering of a "stave", to stringing and shooting a highly functional, hand crafted, bamboo backed wooden long bow.

Over the past twenty years individuals who make Shaker oval boxes have come to know John Wilson as the suppliers to that trade. In fact, the business of the shop and the teaching workshops have been instrumental in the revival of that traditional craft enjoyed by so many today.
