Old Ways Traditions
Our annual events include Wood Days, held on the first weekend of June and Old Ways Days held the third weekend of October. The many elements of the events - great food, old time and traditional music, demonstrations of a large variety of woodworking skills, hands on woodworking for kids and adults, and antique tools and machinery for all to try and/or see operating have proven to be a fine fit in their new location.
Atlantic Tool Collectors Association
The Atlantic Tool Collectors Association was formed in 1994, with 21 charter members. Since then the membership has grown to more than sixty members from across Canada and the United States. Our association was formed with a view to promoting public interest in the history and preservation of antique and collectible hand tools in the Atlantic Provinces. (Canada)

Make Your Own Treadle Lathe
This design and construction guide was written in response to many requests I've received over the years for a source for plans, instructions or drawings for a foot-powered treadle lathe. I have used this shop-built lathe at traditional woodworking demonstrations and it never fails to draw an interested crowd. It is also a practical tool, having a permanent home in the center of our traditional tool workshop.
